Our Warhawks battled hard tonight against Westwood, but came up short with a 5-3 loss. While the result wasn’t what we wanted, we are proud of the fight, effort, and heart our boys showed on the field.

Now we regroup and get ready for one more battle.

The Oakwood Warhawks opened State Tournament play with a HUGE 12-0 victory over the Heartland Mustangs tonight in Joplin!

Our boys came out focused from the first pitch and put together a complete performance on both sides of the ball. Great hitting, strong defense, and outstanding pitching helped secure the shutout win as the Warhawks continue their run at State.

Now it’s time to get ready for the next challenge.

Oakwood Academy wants to spotlight this week’s senior, Caleb (KJ). 🎓

KJ shared that the extracurricular activity he is most proud of is Physical Education, highlighting his effort and growth throughout his high school experience.

After graduation, KJ plans to get a job, move into an apartment, and continue following God, showing both independence and a strong foundation in his faith.

When reflecting on his high school years, KJ shared that he wishes he had worked harder during his earlier years, a lesson that speaks to growth, responsibility, and maturity.

We are proud of KJ and excited to see him step into this next chapter of life with purpose and determination.
